Company Mission & Bio

Mental Floss Sideshow’s mission is to spread knowledge of the curious & the bizarre, incorporating the wonders of science, folklore & the natural & fictional worlds, whilst promoting the richness of the human imagination & the sheer delight of humour.

Founded in the United Kingdom in 2005, Mental Floss Sideshow is a traveling family ensemble; exploring, developing & working in the traditions of Sideshow & Medicine Shows,
Vaudeville & Variety Cabaret.  The company is currently resident in the wild undergrowth of Southern Ontario, Canada. 

Led by Karl & Lesley Thurston-Brown, whose backgrounds include:  event & venue management, technical theatre, prop making, lighting design, fine art & graphic design.
